Cheryl Davis Cheryl Davis began her career with Charles County Public Schools in 1990 at Henry E. Lackey High School as a Family and Consumer Science teacher, where she taught for seventeen years. In 2007, Ms. Davis was appointed to her first administrative position as a vice principal at John Hanson Middle School. She remained at John Hanson until 2011 when she was appointed to vice principal at Westlake School. In 2014, she moved to North Point High School. For nine years, Ms. Davis served as the assistant principal for the Career Technology Education (CTE) programs and served as the lead assistant principal for six years. In 2023, Ms. Davis’s career with CCPS came full circle when she was appointed principal of Henry E. Lackey High School. Ms. Davis is a Maryland native, who grew up in Prince George’s County. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education. She earned a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from McDaniel College. |
